Instruction for Authors

Author’s Guidelines

All manuscripts submitted for presentation at TSME-ICoME 2025 will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic quality and relevance.

A notable feature of TSME-ICoME 2025 is the implementation of a three-track submission system, designed to accommodate different publication preferences and academic goals:

Track 1: Full Paper – to be published in the TSME-ICoME Proceedings

Track 2: Full Paper – to be considered for publication in the AIP Conference Proceedings (Scopus-indexed)

Track 3: Extended Abstract – for authors who wish to present their work without full-paper publication. Accepted extended abstracts will be included in the Book of Abstracts, which will be distributed in printed format during the conference only.

Note:

  • The Book of Abstracts will not be uploaded online
  •  Extended abstracts will not appear in the TSME-ICoME Proceedings

Authors are required to carefully follow the submission guidelines and select the appropriate track that aligns with their intended publication outcome.

Special Note:

High-quality manuscripts from Track 1 and extended abstracts from Track 3 will be selected by the Editorial Board of JRAME for further consideration and potential publication in the Journal of Research and Applications in Mechanical Engineering (JRAME), which is indexed in Scopus (Quartile 4).

Submissions from Track 1 and Track 3 that are selected and invited by the JRAME Editorial Board for full manuscript development and subsequently accepted after peer review will not be included in the TSME-ICoME 2025 Conference Proceedings. However, if the manuscript is not accepted by JRAME, it will revert to the originally submitted track for standard processing and publication.

Paper Submission Tracks

TSME-ICoME 2025 offers a three-track submission system to accommodate a variety of publication preferences and academic goals. All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure quality and relevance.

Track 1 : TSME-ICoME Proceedings

Authors who choose this track must submit their manuscripts via the official submission system: https://www.submission.tsme.org/icome2025/

Submission Requirements:

  • Manuscript must use the official TSME-ICoME 2025 template
  • Camera-ready version must follow the same template
  • Maximum length: 10 pages
  • Maximum file size: 8 MB

Special Note:

High-quality manuscripts from Track 1 may be selected by the Editorial Board of JRAME (Journal of Research and Applications in Mechanical Engineering) for further peer review and potential publication.

Manuscripts that are officially invited and accepted for publication by JRAME will not be included in the TSME-ICoME 2025 Conference Proceedings.

Track 2 : AIP Conference Proceedings (Indexed in Scopus)

To publish in the AIP Conference Proceedings, authors must first submit their initial manuscript using the TSME-ICoME 2025 template via the official online submission system: https://www.submission.tsme.org/icome2025/

Once the manuscript has been accepted, authors are required to reformat their paper using the official AIP Conference Proceedings template, which can be downloaded at: https://pubs.aip.org/aip/acp/pages/preppapers

Submission Requirements:

  • Similarity index must be strictly less than 15% (excluding references)
  • Manuscripts may undergo multiple rounds of peer review to meet AIP standards
  • Manuscripts rejected by AIP will be automatically transferred to Track 1 (TSME-ICoME Proceedings)

AIP’s decision is final, and registration fees are non-refundable regardless of acceptance outcome

Track 3 : Extended Abstract

This track is intended for participants who wish to present their work without full paper publication.

Accepted extended abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts, distributed onsite at the conference.

  • The Book of Abstracts will not be published online
  • Extended abstracts will not appear in the TSME-ICoME Proceedings

Submission Requirements:

Special Note:

Outstanding extended abstracts may be invited by the JRAME Editorial Board for further development into full manuscripts and peer-reviewed publication. If selected, the manuscript will not appear in the conference proceedings.

Presentation Guideline – TSME-ICoME 2025

To ensure a smooth and professional experience for all presenters at TSME-ICoME 2025, please carefully follow the presentation guidelines outlined below:

1. Language of Presentation

  • All presentations must be conducted in English, which is the official language of the conference. This includes both the spoken presentation and all content on presentation slides.

2. Time Allocation

  • Each presentation is allocated 15 minutes:
12 minutes for the oral presentation
3 minutes for questions and answers
  • Please rehearse your talk in advance to ensure you stay within the allotted time.

3. Slide Preparation and Presentation Style

  • Prepare your slides using Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx) format.
  • Slides should be clear, visually engaging, and easy to read. Use bullet points, relevant graphics, and diagrams to emphasize key messages. Avoid excessive text.
  • Use high-contrast colors and readable fonts to enhance visibility.
  • Avoid reading from slides—engage the audience with eye contact and confident delivery.
  • Presenters should be thoroughly familiar with their material and able to answer technical questions from the audience.

4. Equipment and Technical Setup

  • A laptop will be provided in each session room for presenters to use.
  • If you prefer to use your own laptop, you are welcome to do so. However, please bring any required adapters (e.g., USB-C to HDMI) to ensure compatibility with the projector.
  • All session rooms are equipped with HDMI and VGA ports for projector connection.
  • Ensure all media (e.g., videos, custom fonts, animations) are embedded and functioning properly before your session.
  • Bring a backup of your presentation on a USB flash drive in case of technical issues.

5. Arrival and Check-In

  • Presenters must arrive at their assigned session room at least 30 minutes before the scheduled presentation time.
  • Please check in with the session chair or technical staff to test equipment and upload your presentation file if needed.

6. Certificates and Awards

  • Certificates of Presentation will be distributed at the end of each session by the session chairs.
  • Best Presentation Awards will be granted to outstanding presenters from each technical track, based on content quality, delivery, timing, and audience engagement.

7. Additional Notes

  • If you are unable to attend and present in person, please notify the organizing committee in advance to explore alternative options (e.g., virtual presentation, if permitted).
  • Avoid using online-dependent content (e.g., live websites or streaming media) unless fully tested offline.
